  1. What should I wear for a headshot?

    Wear solid colors or subtle patterns that complement your skin tone. Avoid logos, busy prints, or overly bright colors. Bring a few options for variety.

  2. Should I wear makeup? Do you recommend a professional makeup artist?
    Yes, natural makeup enhances your features on camera. A professional makeup artist can help you look polished and camera-ready.

  3. Can you help me with posing? I’m not photogenic.
    Absolutely. I will guide you through flattering poses and expressions so you feel confident and look natural.

  4. How long does a headshot session take?
    Most sessions take 20-90 minutes, depending on outfit changes and the package you reserve.

  5. Do you shoot in a studio or on location?
    I offer both studio sessions and on-location shoots for groups, depending on your style and needs.

  6. Can I bring multiple outfits to the session?
    Yes! Bringing 2–3 outfits gives us more variety to choose from.

Technical and Style Questions

  1. What’s the difference between a headshot and a portrait?
    A headshot is a close-up, typically from the shoulders up, used for business or personal branding. A portrait is more creative and can include full body and environmental backgrounds.

  2. Should I get a traditional studio headshot or something more modern/lifestyle?
    It depends on your brand. Studio headshots are clean and professional, while lifestyle headshots feel approachable and modern.

  3. Do you retouch the photos? If so, how much?
    Yes, I provide natural retouching to smooth skin, whiten teeth, and remove distractions—without making you look over-edited.

  4. What does retouching mean?

    The retouching process includes skin softening, blemish removal, sharpening of the eyes and a few other touch ups depending on your needs such as teeth whitening or stray hair removal.

  5. What is the turn around time for the final retouched image(s)?

    The turn around time is 1 or 2 days following your session. For larger corporate groups it will depend on the final head count.

  6. Do you use natural light or studio lighting?
    I use both. Studio lighting offers precision, while natural light creates a softer, more relaxed feel. A mix of the two is my go to.

  7. Wbackground colors and styles do you offer?

  8. How long does a headshot take?

    For the Business option it takes 20-25 minutes. For Business Plus it takes 45 minutes. The Creative and Creative Plus packages take 1 hour and 1.5 hours respectively.

About the Photos

  1. How many images will I get?
    Most sessions include 1–3 fully retouched images. You will receive all the unretouched images from the session.

  2. Can I choose which photos you edit?
    Yes, you select your favorite images for retouching after the session.

  3. What size/resolution do I get for LinkedIn or company websites?
    I deliver high-resolution files for print and web-optimized files for LinkedIn, email signatures, and social media.

  4. Can you make me look slimmer/fix my hair/brighten my eyes?
    Yes, I offer light retouching for a polished but natural look.

  1. I need headshots for my whole team. Do you do corporate sessions?
    Yes! I offer on-site team headshots for companies of all sizes.

  2. How much does a professional headshot cost?
    Rates vary by session type, but individual sessions start at $299. Email me for group discounts.

  3. Do you provide licensing for business use?
    Yes, headshots include licensing for personal and professional use.

  4. Can you match the style of my company’s existing headshots?
    Yes, I can match lighting, background, and style for consistency across your team.

  5. Do I need to make an appointment?

    Headshot sessions are by appointment only. You can reserve your session by clicking on the reserve now button above.

  6. How far in advance should I reserve a session?

    We generally book up about a week in advance. To check availability please click on the reserve now button above.

  7. What forms of payment do you accept?

    Cash, checks, all major credit cards, Venmo and Cashapp are accepted on location or in studio. a 50% deposit is required to make your reservation with the remaining balance due on the day of your session.

  8. Can I reschedule my headshot session?

    Yes. After you make a reservation, you will receive an email confirmation which will have a link to reschedule if needed. Please note that you will loose the option to reschedule if it’s less than 24 hours before your session.

  9. Where is your studio located?

    Our studio is located art 460C Harrison Avenue in Bostons South End Neighborhood. Also known as the Sowa Art & Design District.

  10. Can you provide our company with a W-9 form?

    Yes. If you require a W-9 please let us know and we will provide one for you.

  11. How much room do you need for on location headshots?

    An area of approximately 10’ x 15’ is sufficient. A location with natural light is appreciated.
